When the pages are in the wrong order
A stack scanned upside down, a signature page at the end, two pages swapped, one page that should not be there. Open the PDF, see every page, turn what is sideways, drop what is wrong, move what is late - and save one clean copy.
The PDF Page Organizer reorders, rotates and deletes the pages of a PDF by dragging them into place, then saves the document in the new arrangement. It rewrites the page order only, so the content is not re-encoded and the original file stays untouched until you download.
A PDF with the pages in the wrong order is not a broken file. It is a file whose first page is wrong.
Most document problems people blame on the format are ordering problems. The scan was fed face down, so every page is upside down. The signature arrived after the contract was assembled, so it sits at the back. The printer driver emitted a blank sheet at the end. The appendix was exported from a different tool and inserted in the middle.
Fixing that used to mean a desktop editor, a subscription, or printing the file and scanning it again - which quietly destroys the text layer and doubles the size. None of it is necessary. Reordering pages is a list operation: the pages keep their content, you change the sequence and the rotation flag, and the new file is written from the same pieces.
Everything below happens on the pages already in your file. Nothing is re-encoded, so text stays selectable, links stay links and the page size does not change.
Five situations this fixes in under a minute
rotate_90_degrees_cw Every page came out sidewaysexpand_more
Feeding a sheet the wrong way round is the most common scanner mistake, and the scanner writes the page landscape because that is what it saw. Turn the affected pages 90 degrees and save: the page keeps its size, only the viewing rotation changes. One page or forty, the result is the same.
swap_horiz The signed page is at the endexpand_more
A signature usually arrives as its own single-page PDF, after the contract was already assembled. Select the page, move it to where a reader expects to find it, and it lands there with the signature intact - it is the same page object, moved.
content_copy The scanner produced the same page twiceexpand_more
Duplex scanning with a misfeed often captures one sheet twice, and the copy is indistinguishable from the original except by position. Select the second copy and delete it; the page count on the left tells you immediately whether the number is now what you expect.
visibility One page should not be sharedexpand_more
A price sheet, an ID copy, an internal note: removing a page from a PDF is not the same as covering it. Deleting the page means the text is not in the file at all, which is what you want when the file leaves your hands. Check the result before sending - the tool tells you how many pages you started and ended with.
restart_alt I made a mess and want the original backexpand_more
Reset restores the original page order and clears every rotation, so you can start again without re-importing the file. The original PDF on your disk was never touched: the tool only ever writes a new file, with a new name, when you press the save button.
From a stack of pages to a finished file
Open the PDF
Every page is drawn as a thumbnail, in order, with its number on the corner.
Select what needs work
Click a page to select it. With nothing selected, an action applies to all pages.
Turn, move, delete
Turn fixes orientation, the arrows change position, delete removes the page for good.
Save the copy
One new PDF, built from the pages in their new order. The original stays as it was.
What each action does, and what it costs
| Action | What changes in the file | Undo |
|---|---|---|
| Turn | the page's rotation flag, in 90 degree steps | press turn three more times, or reset |
| Move | the page's position in the sequence | move it back, or reset |
| Delete | the page is not written to the new file | reset restores it, while you are still on the page |
| Reset | order and rotation go back to the original | nothing to undo, the original is untouched |
| Save | a new file is written; the source stays closed | download again after another edit |

fact_checkQuick facts
- Reordering rewrites the page tree only, so the content is not re-encoded and the quality stays exactly as it was.
- Deleting a page removes it from the document but not from the file’s history — share the new file, not the old one.
- A PDF describes every element by its position on the page, which is why it looks identical everywhere and why its text does not reflow.menu_bookAdobe
