Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information GoSaveTool ("we", "us") processes when you visit gosavetool.com and use our free online tools, why we process it, how long we keep it and which rights you have. We built the service to work with as little personal data as possible: you do not need an account, and we never ask for your name or a password.
1. Summary
- No registration or login is required.
- Files you open in the audio, video and image tools are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our server.
- AI tools only process the text you type (a topic, description or transcript) to create a result; this text is not stored.
- We keep limited technical logs with an anonymised (hashed) IP address to keep the service secure and working.
- Analytics and advertising partners may use cookies, subject to your consent where required by law.
2. Who is responsible
The operator of GoSaveTool is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. You can reach us at contact@gosavetool.com for any privacy question or request.
3. Information we process
3.1 Files used in the browser tools
Our video compressor, caption maker, audio converter, image converter and similar tools use technologies built into your browser (WebAssembly, Web Audio and Canvas). The files you choose stay on your device; they are not sent to us and we cannot see them. On-device AI models (such as Whisper for speech to text) are downloaded to your browser on first use and also run only on your device.
3.2 Text you enter in the AI tools
Tools such as the title, caption, hashtag, script, channel name and video summary writers send the text you enter to our AI service provider (for example DeepSeek) to create the result. If you choose the optional server transcription, a small compressed copy of the audio is sent to our speech recognition provider (for example Groq). We do not store this content and do not link it to your identity. Please do not enter personal or confidential information into these tools.
3.3 Technical and log data
Like every website, our servers receive technical information with each request: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, requested address, date and time. We use this data to deliver the website, prevent abuse, count the daily free AI uses and fix errors. Before writing it into our application logs we turn IP addresses into a one-way hash, so we cannot identify you from these logs. Statistics such as how often a tool is used are kept without any file content.
3.4 Ratings
When you rate a tool or an article, we store your rating with a hashed IP address so that every visitor can vote only once. No name or email address is collected.
3.5 Contact
When you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to reply. We delete this correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing the text you enter in the AI tools.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, abuse prevention, error analysis and anonymous usage statistics.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies for analytics and personalised advertising where required. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): answering lawful requests from authorities.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage only to remember settings such as your light or dark theme. This is necessary for the feature you choose and contains no personal data. The third-party services described below may use their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools keep working without cookies.
6. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, for example which tools are popular and which devices are used. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data such as a pseudonymous identifier, pages visited and approximate location. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Advertising
To keep our tools free, we may show ads, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
8. Service providers
We work with carefully selected providers that process data on our behalf: hosting and server providers, content delivery networks, AI and speech recognition providers, font and library delivery services (such as Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr) and the analytics and advertising partners above. They receive only the data they need for their task.
9. International transfers
Some providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
10. How long we keep data
- Files opened in the browser tools: never stored, because they do not reach our server.
- Text entered in the AI tools: not stored after the result is created.
- Application logs with hashed IP addresses: up to 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse.
- Anonymous statistics: as long as they are useful, since they contain no personal data.
- Email correspondence: until your request is resolved, plus any legally required period.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the EU and UK can lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. You can opt out of personalised ads with the links in section 7 or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.
To exercise your rights, write to contact@gosavetool.com. Because we hash IP addresses, we may not be able to match log records to you; if so, we will explain this in our reply.
12. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We protect data with encrypted HTTPS connections, access restrictions, hashed identifiers and regular updates. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect the information we process.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our service or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
